Santiago Vaquera-Vasquez will discuss and sign his new book “One Day I’ll Tell You The Things I’ve Seen: Stories” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at the University of New Mexico Bookstore.

The stories take the reader from neighborhoods in Mexico City and Madrid, to border crossings, to the cornfields of Iowa. Noted author Junot Diaz said the stories “are so aching and wise, full of pasts and futures and people we should have known better, full of love.”

UNM Press is the publisher.

Eight of the 14 stories were previously published in different form. The title story was printed in Spanish in the author’s chapbook of the same name.

Vaquera-Vasquez is an assistant professor in the UNM Department of Spanish and Portuguese.

The bookstore is located at 2301 Central NE, across the street from the Frontier restaurant.
