Bubonicon – Albuquerque’s annual Science Fiction-Fantasy fest – will be a few weeks earlier than usual  this year. Bubonicon 46 will happen Aug. 1-3. The popular event will be held at the Marriott Uptown, Louisiana NE at I-40.

The two guests of honor are authors Jack Campbell (which is the pen name of John G. Hemry) and Cherie Priest. Toastmaster is Steven Gould and artist -guest is Darla Hallmark.

There will be tons of authors but like most Bubonicons patrons can check out a host of activities – an art show, gaming, auctions, costume contest, films, dealers and panel discussions.

Other authors attending include Darynda Jones, Jane Lindskold, Connie Willis, Ian Tregillis, Walter Jon Williams and Pati Nagle.

Weekend passes for the general public are $40 through July 12;  $45 at the door. Those ages 14-17 are $23. Kids under 14 are free with an adult admission. Daily passes are sold at the door – $15 for Friday, $25 for Saturday and $15 for Sunday.
